All I can say is that I’ve never had garlic mayonnaise before, and now I’m a believer. We ordered some chips and they were super yummy and the garlic mayo! Oh my God.

But first I should back up.

Quag’s is a fancy restaurant. In a way, I felt like I was in a catering hall during the cocktail hour at a wedding reception. We were in the bar, which overlooked acres and acres of tables chock-full of diners below. There was a jazz band playing, and boy they were fun. I was in jeans and felt very underdressed, however. It had a hint of mafia to it too, and I’m not sure how I felt about that.

I couldn’t imagine ever bringing my parents here; although they appreciate a good meal, they’re more meat and potatos and would be overwhelmed by the sheer size of this place.

So we didn’t eat here, we just drank. But it was worth the visit. The bar is small though–so don’t come traipsing in with all of your buddies.

The Verdict: I’m intrigued enough to come back for eats. "Intrigued" is perhaps the best way to explain how I feel. That, and slightly hung over as I write this.
