I was wanting to go away for my 30th on 29 April, but now due to the royal wedding bank holiday tickets are too expensive to where I wanted to go, so it would be fun to go away locally in the UK… Cardiff?

Melissa January 24, 2011 - 2:40 pm

Ok let me revise that, Cardiff is probably too boring. I would go to whatever Hilton is closest to Champagne!

Deana January 24, 2011 - 7:23 am

duguzzle January 24, 2011 - 1:46 pm

@kristainchicago Well, I was there two weeks ago and caused a right old stink at the fruit and veg market. Never again.

Greece or Croatia is alternative, – always difficult when you have a choice 😉

ScottW January 24, 2011 - 11:41 am

London Lady January 24, 2011 - 11:47 am

Israel to show my husband’s family my growing baby bump.

Gareth January 24, 2011 - 12:17 pm

I have a friends wedding this year two days before a Bike ride from Lands end to John O’groats so would love a night in the hilton before I go. Or one at the end of the bike ride would be just as good.

Kavey January 24, 2011 - 12:19 pm

I’d probably go for the Canary Wharf location – sometimes it’s nice to do the tourist thing in one’s own city!

jaki January 24, 2011 - 12:26 pm

id go to london 🙂

Jeremy January 24, 2011 - 12:27 pm

It’s not exactly original, but I’d choose NYC. I was 6 last time I was there, I don’t think I made the most of it…

Tonnvane Wiswell January 24, 2011 - 12:35 pm

I would absolutely be going to the Olbia Hilton!

js January 24, 2011 - 1:18 pm

I would go to New York, my favourite city in the world!

Billy Hiscoke January 24, 2011 - 1:28 pm

Cool competition! I’d spend them on my stag night – probably in Dublin (if we go for the cliche) or London Park Lane (for the classy father-in-law version).

Brook January 24, 2011 - 1:32 pm

I would go to Paris in the Spring time. I know its a little over done i.e. Paris in the Spring time but hey I’ve not been there in the Spring time and I would like to go ;0)

Gourmet Chick January 24, 2011 - 2:26 pm

I’d go to Dublin – I think that is included in the voucher range! Such a fun City for a few pints at a pub with some new found Irish friends and then maybe dinner enjoying some of the excellent local seafood. Plus I could catch up with some of my family there.

Shari January 24, 2011 - 3:13 pm

New York City, all the way! I love the Big Apple.

D’you know what? I’d stay right here in London at the fabulous, iconic Hilton Park Lane. A city break in your own city is the ultimate luxury, being able to forget about the daily grind and see the capital through a visitor’s eyes. Though with the incredible views of Hyde Park and Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows restaurant, I might never actually set foot outside of the hotel!

David Livick January 24, 2011 - 6:37 pm

I’d go to Liverpool and get myself a music education on The Beatles

Mike January 24, 2011 - 6:49 pm

The Park Lane Hilton, and is dinner included, then Galvin at Windows!!
Nothing like being a tourist in LDN, and I’ve heard some of the rooms have champagne on tap!!

NFAH January 24, 2011 - 7:42 pm

Wales. So close but yet so far… second choice is Edinburgh. But I’d definitely do UK ‘sploring outside the London bubble…

notfrmroundhere January 25, 2011 - 1:43 am

@kristainchicago Your site eats my comments. Every time I try again and think it will work, it does not.

kristainchicago January 25, 2011 - 1:48 am

brian p January 24, 2011 - 9:11 pm

Sad to see that you have left London!

Christiaan January 25, 2011 - 2:22 am

Weekend in Prague!

Michael January 25, 2011 - 4:04 am

I’d definitely go to Rome. My girlfriend has not been there so it would be a perfect weekend away exploring all that Rome has to offer.

Jen January 25, 2011 - 4:58 am

Anywhere but here (having a bad day). But if I had to pick somewhere…Edinburgh to revisit my uni days in Scotland from a different end of the accommodation spectrum!

Sean W January 25, 2011 - 5:49 am

If I won the vouchers, I’d to go Budapest. I’ve always dreamed of going there in summer and it’s one of those countries that I’ve never managed to get to. I’m also curious about the food (of course!)

Laura January 25, 2011 - 7:11 am

I’d use it to go to birmingham as it would ensure that my friend could come to a convention with me to which means the world to us both <3 Simple things in life 🙂

Marina January 25, 2011 - 9:36 am

I’d head to Edinburgh for the fringe festival in August – haven’t been for a few years and really miss it!

Karen Scammell January 25, 2011 - 9:46 am

I would most like to stay at Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro hotel, as I have never been to Scotland and would love a trip there. The hotel sounds just my cup of tea – within 10 acres of private landscaped grounds 🙂 perfect for romantic strolls and fabulous views. Ooh i really want to win now :p

We’re not picky. We’d go anywhere, really. As long as it’s baby friendly! Tops on our list, though, are Estonia, Croatia, Rome and Marrakech.

Jolene January 25, 2011 - 4:08 pm

I’d go for London Hilton on Park Lane! it looks fabulous and I’d love to try Galvin at Windows!

Aine January 26, 2011 - 6:52 am

Well Krista, would you believe, here’s another one of your readers saying they’d choose to go to the Hilton in Brighton! You see, in July I am doing the UK Trailwalker for charity, to raise money for Oxfam and the Ghurka Welfare Trust. A team of four of us will walk 100kms in under 30 hours. We’ll start Saturday morning (16th July) and walk through to Sunday evening (17th July). The walk finishes at Brighton racecourse. At which point I’ll be ready for the Hilton Brighton Metropole to soak my sore feet and soothe my aching limbs.

TiredDad January 26, 2011 - 7:40 am

I’d go to the nearest one to my house if I could get a babysitter for the night

Justina January 26, 2011 - 8:05 am

Chicago… then I can stalk you…. only kidding I think I’d like to try some of the places you’ve blogged about and I have relations there 🙂
Thanks xx

Sasha @ The Happiness Project London January 26, 2011 - 8:14 am

I’d love to go to the Waldorf Hilton in Aldwych, London. I’d take my boyfriend The Chef who ALWYAS works weekends so deserves a treat. We’d use (abuse) the spa facilities and then when we’re really relaxed, we’d head out for pre-theatre dinner in Covent Garden – maybe Hawksmoor Seven Dials – and then go to the theatre. I’m dying to see War Horse. Early night…Then late start the next dat and a full fry up! x

Kelly January 26, 2011 - 9:44 am

I would love to go to Berlin for a mini break. German cake and pastries for me and all the history and cultural stuff for my husband. win-win.

Dan January 26, 2011 - 10:21 am

Cardiff is always a good idea.

GreedyDiva January 26, 2011 - 1:27 pm

galooph January 26, 2011 - 4:13 pm

Emma Lightfoot January 29, 2011 - 3:11 pm

The waldorf hotel in landannnnnnnnnnnnn!

Helen January 30, 2011 - 1:34 pm

I would love to visit Edinburgh with the Hilton vouchers! I just moved to London from NY last year and haven’t made it up to Scotland yet, and Edinburgh would be a great place to start. It would be great to take my boyfriend and visit Edinburgh Castle, sample a few whiskeys and FINALLY get round to eating at The Kitchin!

Isabel January 31, 2011 - 9:34 am

Oooooh! this is exciting! would love to go to edimburgh!

Christine Balzano January 31, 2011 - 10:46 am
