With a wine list on an iPad, there’s so much more room for tasting notes. I can totally see it working. (Also, easier to update the list to reflect inventory.) Love it.

I think the difference is that the iPad can be so much more comprehensive than those tacky photos in the windows. AND the iPad is right there at your table…not in the window. I don’t know…I think it will work.

You’re presented with a map, click on a country and drill down by region. A touch gimmicky maybe, but I thought it was very cool indeed.

We went to a place in LA in ’08 and they had these touch screens on the table which had menus and photos, you ordered and waitress didn’t have to even make it to your table. You also signed for your card on the tables! And there were games! Can you tell I was blown away…self confirmed geek.

Next you will be able to order from the iPad without the need for the waiter which would be very sad.

For convenience food and take away – yes

For real restaurants – no thanks.
