Hey everyone
Yes, I ate in the more formal restaurant. Loved it. And now I don't feel so bad about Feathers' wine pick. Thanks for setting me straight!

Hi Krista,
Isn't it great at the Bleeding Heart? I was taken there for my birthday this year and loved it. Just to let you know that although the cuisine is French, the owners own a vineyard in Hawkes' Bay, New Zealand, hence the wine. I love that 'cos I'm a Kiwi gal with a Monsieur at home, so perfect combo with good food and great staff, esp the sommelier.

I just love the Bistro! And on the topic of lovely French places in that area, you can't beat Cafe du Marche which offers a great set menu with a prix fixe, of course!

Krista - did you eat at the restaurant itself or the Tavern? Looks from the menu like the Tavern. I haven't eaten there myself, but the restaurant can't be beaten for long lunches, with lots of red wine and cheese in winter months. It's enough to make me wish away our balmy summer of drizzly days and fetid nights ;)

The 'by the glass' choice was perhaps not so odd: the restaurant owns a vineyard in Kiwi-land.
