Have not stayed at The Standard but did check out the bar at the top and also walked under it on our way down the High Line. Looks like a very cool place to stay!

That room at the Hyatt must be new and renovated. We stayed there a year a go and besides the location we hated this hotel. Our room was small, dim and old. On our first night someone tried to get into our room and when I shouted through the door they ran away. When I called the front desk they fobbed it off as the previous customer checking for a piece of left behind luggage. An innocent party wouldn't run away like that!
