how difficult is it to get a booking at sheekey’s? ie do you hv to book a few weeks in advance for a weekend sitting?

I love Sheekey’s. Think it’s currently one of my all-time favourite London restaurants. Last time we were there, we had a fabulous Cornish fish stew, a British take on Bouillaibaisse – served in a tureen with a ladle. It’s also discreet, and the service is excellent. Have you tried the oyster bar at Green’s- just off Jermyn Street? That’s another clubby, masculine sort of place.

just a quick one if its Oysters you like…
Im a londoner that now lives in Brazil and i used to run numerous london eateries…on a recent visit back home…mainly to suck on some exhaust pipes…i went to the new Conran place in Shoreditch…The Boundary…the Oysters were fantastic and not over-priced. Also the Aussie barman deserves a huge payrise his knowledge of the drinks;food menu and the history of the company and building was immense…although his facial hair could do with some tweaking!
Anyway im sure its on your radar for a visit…enjoy!
