Funny…I too lamented the demise of Wolf Camera when I visited Five Guys! That was a friendly place.

Then again, that was five years ago before I started taking meat out of my diet. Even the one in DC waffled between crisp fries and limp fries. As to the burgers, when they got to the point of being so juicy that they squirted when you bit into them, my visits diminished. Have not tried the Chicago store on Fullerton, partly because they took over Wolf Camera spot where I did all my photography shopping and it was personal. Perhaps your next visit will be better.

My recent experience there was fantastic though. I went for the regular burger though, so maybe the additional patty provides some extra structural support 🙂

I know what you mean about the fries; I had to convince Mrs. Nibbler that we only needed one small portion between us – we still couldn’t finish them.

My husband & I tried the one near Loyola University after biking to the air show and I’d never been to a Five Guys before. I wasn’t expecting much but I thought it was delicious. Especially the fries; but you’re right. One small order is plenty for 2 ppl. I also had the small burger but my husband had the regular (which is actually a double) bacon cheeseburger (yes, heart attack city) and his actually looked better.

I’d go back but only if one was nearby.
