I’ve lost entirely too many locks on various international trips, primarily since I think one of the involved agencies just cuts them off. These are cheap enough that I might not care.

Re: wire ties: Since about 2003, they tend to stop caring that much about nailclippers, and most nail clippers are tough enough to remove zip ties.
