I think this is a hard question to answer without knowing you at all! Everyone is so different. I loved it. I would go back in a heartbeat. I loved Egypt and I loved my cruise with Nour el Nil! I’ve traveled a lot and this was definitely one of my all-time favorite experiences.

Hi Krista! Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I have been eyeing Egypt, found the Nour El Nil and then from Tripadvisor saw your review and then found your website! 🙂
I am wondering- how would you rate this experience compared to other travel experiences? Top 10? Top 5?
I know that is a TOUGH question but I get a sense this really might be a special experience- especially since Egypt is not flooded with tourists and this company seems like they really try to over deliver with hospitality. Too many hotels and experiences these days seem to be losing that aspect.
As an example one of my top travel experiences wasnt anything to really “see” but it was more experiencing a lesser known hotel in Johannesburg simply bc it was unique and the hospitality was over the top (it’s called The Residence Boutique Hotel)
BTW- cant believe they would clean your shoes AND your socks- THAT is the over the top type of hospitality I seek out in my travels.
Anyway- just trying to gauge just how high up I should place Egypt and possibly the Nour El Nil on our travel list 🙂

Enjoy!!! We had an amazing time!! And definitely make sure you have enough cash on you if you think you may drink wine each night! We were pretty generous and shared a lot of our Le Baron sparkling wine so that added up!

Great to hear about your adventures and what\’s up in your world. I totally agree about the pillows. Hotels get extra brownie points by offering pillow menus. I especilaly want the whole Heavenly bed set from the Westin. They really named it right. It\’s a must in my book. I guess most people have never had a dream like pillow at home.

Love the update and I am happy you have the hit the road so thoroughly. It suits you better than open floor plan office space and corporate politics. I am also glad you love elephants. I am still a corporate robot and have to entertain myself with podcasts during my commutes and listened to this one the other day.

– Totally concur on racism and plastic.

– Eating the fruit has made me sick of my Latin American adventures so there is downside

Lol Krista. Thanks for sharing….not to put a damper on things….but we’ve had our share of not so great croissants in Paris….but it’s all relative I guess! The great thing we’ve learned is that there are more nice people than terrible folks in the world. And we are all more alike than different.

Thank you for sharing! Nothing beats practical advice from other digital nomads.

On “the importance of networking”, participating at relevant events focused on remote work and digital nomads is one decision that is still yielding solid results for me. My experience for example, I was at the Runningremote.com conference (I highly recommend this conference) in Bali where I met the Founders of tech companies I’ve always looked forward to work with and other Entrepreneurs building scalable remote businesses.
