The Victims: Oh my, let’s see. Jill, Becky, Kellie, Julie, Lee, Anna, Jen, Ali, and some others I didn’t know

It was Book Club. And I was supposed to be organizing. We were meeting over at the Prince Albert by Battersea Park at 2 on a Sunday. I thought I might walk, so I left my place at 12:30. 2 pm and I was still walking. Battersea Power Station is very large.

So I arrived at the Prince Albert at 2:25 and the discussion about The Time Traveler’s Wife was well underway. I ordered a greek salad and a beer, but was admittedly a bit unfresh after walking for so long on such an (English) hot day, so I had to send someone else in to do my ordering.

I thought my greek salad was okay. The olives were pitty and not marinated enough. There wasn’t enough vinagrette on the salad. But the lettuce was fresh and crisp, more than can be said of most places. And the cutest part was that when you place your orders, they give you these little yellow cups with a number on them so they know where you’re sitting. I don’t know. I thought that was a nice touch.

I asked around and everyone seemed to think their food was okay. So that’s good. But I was there SO VERY briefly–from 2:25 to 3, that I feel that the Prince Albert deserves another visit.

The Verdict: Well, it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, so sitting outside was perfect. BUT I never went inside or saw anything of the pub or tried anyone else’s food so the verdict is still out, and well, my salad was only just average.
